Alan Stam      Ph.D., Ecology, as a university professor has organized and led approximately 35 educational/natural history trips to Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Belize, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Bahamas, and Cuba; of these, over 20 to Costa Rica.  He is currently working on a book of the natural history of Costa Rica for non-scientists.  He lives with garden, fruit trees, and cats and dogs on 35 acres of ever-teaching, ever-changing Nature in southeastern Ohio.  He believes that a day without Nature is a day that we should never have to experience--unless for some reason we need a fair amount of "character enrichment".

Cheryl Rapose       M.Ed., LISW, has been practicing and teaching mindfulness meditation practices to a wide variety of groups and individuals for over 14 years.  She studied with Jon Kabat-Zinn approximately 15 years ago and has since attended various week-long and multiple day meditation retreats, including an Advanced Teacher's Training by University of Massachusetts Senior Staff.  Her love of nature and appreciation of nature poets and writers drew her to develop and offer several programs on "mindfulness in nature".  She considers herself to be responsible, curious, open-hearted and playful.  When not working, she can be found outdoors playing, exploring, backpacking or biking.  She adores the natural world and all that it has to teach.
